Current Clinical Trials
Alzheimer's Treatment Study
Dr. Pollock is currently conducting a non-drug study to establish the effectiveness of using neurofeedback for Alzheimer's disease. Neurofeedback is non-invasive and generally has no negative side-effects. Twice weekly sessions are done in our office for 20 weeks with memory testing done before and after to gauge the effects. If you are interested in participating, please call Celisa Bonner at 727.298.6384.
Alzheimer's Treatment Study
Research has shown that imbalanced copper and zinc in the body can make mental function decline and lead to memory loss and worsen Alzheimer's disease. Treatment that restores zinc and balances copper levels may then be useful as treatment of cognitive decline and Alzheimer's. Dr. Pollock is currently seeking volunteers for a research study to determine the effects of a new, non-drug way to improve zinc and copper balance using a safe supplement.
Participants must be at least 50 years old and have mild to moderate Alzheimer's or mild cognitive impairment. For more information call Vickie at 727.492.7378.
Volunteers will receive physical, neurological, cognitive and blood exams at no cost. Health insurance is not necessary.
Is your head positioned to one side or your neck twisted?
We are looking for people who have been diagnosed with cervical dystonia to be part of a new clinical research study. The purpose of the research is to study the safety and effectiveness of an investigational drug.
To volunteer, you must be between the ages of 18 and 75 and never have been treated with injections of botulinum toxin (BOTOX®). All necessary office visits, medical evaluations, and study medications will be provided at no cost to qualified patients. Compensation may be available to participants.
For more information, or to see if you qualify for this clinical research study, call Marilin at 727.735.8210.
